"Kintsugi" A word that has only recently come to my attention. It’s a Japanese word meaning “golden seams.” It is an art used to repair broken pottery in Japan. No one is completely sure of its exact origin but it has been around for 500 years. Instead of broken pottery being discarded, they take a certain lacquer from the Urushi tree sap to repair it before decorating the break with gold.
